Does the ACS adjust a MA-42 by itself?
Yes. Under automatic control the ACS sets each test point on the MA-42 and adjusts its output to the selected standard. The technician is only prompted to change transducers.
Supported instruments · MAICO
The ACS has built-in setups for 20 MAICO instruments, and 12 of them run under full automatic control. Select the model, start the calibration, and the ACS sets each test point, measures it and adjusts the instrument to ANSI S3.6 and IEC 60645.
Supported MAICO models
Automatic control means the ACS talks to the instrument through its serial or USB port: it sets frequency, level and channel itself and adjusts the instrument to the standard, and you only step in to change transducers. Models in manual mode are calibrated with the ACS prompting the technician for each setting and measuring the result.

MAICO model not listed? It can still be calibrated: set it up as a User Defined instrument with its own test configuration. See MAICO on the full instrument list.
How it works
The ACS loads the right calibration routine and sets the headphone type and impedance for that model.
Connect the instrument’s outputs to the ACS interface, and on automatic-control models its serial or USB port. The ACS steps through every test point, recording the values it found before any adjustment.
Every result, the MAICO and transducer serial numbers and the standard used, with your company logo. What a certificate should include.
