A look at the ACS software

Follow a calibration from setup to certificate. Click any screenshot for a larger view.

Step 1

Setup

Enter customers, audiometers and your measurement equipment, then tailor the tests.

Main application window

The selected customer information is conveniently shown along with an image of the selected audiometer. The right side buttons are where you configure the tests and start the calibration.

Audiometer information

Where you enter the audiometer information: select the audiometer model and specify the transducers.

Equipment setup

Specify your microphone, coupler and artificial mastoid parameters. From here you can also calibrate your microphone using a mic calibrator or pistonphone.

Test configuration

Customize each and every test point. The system contains defaults for all supported audiometers, and you can save and load entire test configurations from disk.

Output level test options

Set the individual hearing test levels for each frequency as needed, as well as the channels and frequency span to test.

Serial control

Shown for all audiometers the ACS can control via an RS232 serial link (or USB in some cases).

Step 2

Testing

Run the calibration with clear prompts, live measurements and instant pass/fail.

Calibration control panel

The main calibration control panel for type 1 or 2 audiometers.

Output level test

Left side indicators prompt you to set frequency, level and channel; right side indicators show measured values, target level and difference. Out of spec values are shown in red.

Distortion test

The distortion test screen.

Electrical test

A battery of measurements including rise, fall and overshoot, performed using a resistive load in place of the transducer. All load switching is automatic.

Room acoustic test

Set a start delay and test duration so you can exit the room during the measurement.

Signal analyzer utility

Make manual measurements: SPL levels, frequency, THD, DC levels and force levels. Real time spectrum graphing is available with the optional SpectraPLUS FFT package.

Step 3

Results & certificates

Review results, compare against previous calibrations and print branded certificates.

View test results

Tabs select the test and radio buttons select the transducer. “Show Preadjustment Values” shows values before adjustment. Page through previous calibrations to spot trends, and copy data to Excel or Word.

Calibration certificate

The first page of the calibration certificate. The logo in the upper right can be customized to show your company logo. Out of spec values are shown in red.
